The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has announced the election of Gary MacCausland to its executive committee during its recent mid-year board meeting. MacCausland, who has been a dedicated TIA board member for the past two years, will serve as the committee's secretary.
MacCausland currently holds the position of senior vice president of operations and marketing at VIP Tires & Service in Lewiston, Maine. His election to the executive committee marks a significant milestone in his career, highlighting his commitment to the tyre industry.
Starting his new role on 4 November at the TIA board meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada, MacCausland’s term begins just before the Global Tire Expo and Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show opens. This new position places him in line to potentially become the association's president for the 2026-2027 term.
Expressing his gratitude and anticipation for the new role, MacCausland stated, “I am honoured to be elected as secretary and look forward to collaborating with this talented team of board members and staff to continue making a positive impact on safety in the tyre industry.”
