Zhongce Rubber Group Co., Ltd. (ZC Rubber) has reached a significant milestone with the production of its first all-steel radial tyre at its newly established Indonesian subsidiary, PT. The event, marking a key moment in ZC Rubber’s global expansion strategy, was celebrated with an official ceremony at MTI’s state-of-the-art factory located in the Kendal Industrial Park, Semarang, Indonesia.

In a symbolic gesture, ZC Rubber Chairman Mr. Shen Jinrong, along with company executives, signed the very first all-steel radial tyre produced at the plant. Mr. Shen further commemorated the occasion by placing a red ribbon on the tyre, signalling the start of a promising new era for the company in Indonesia.
Chairman Mr. Shen Jinrong expressed the importance of this achievement, stating: “The first tyre from MTI symbolises the beginning of a new chapter in our global strategy. We will continue focusing on sustainable development, innovation-driven productivity, and delivering high-quality products as we advance our global expansion.”
The ceremony was attended by Vice President and MTI General Manager Mr. Wang Xianning, leaders from ZC Rubber’s subsidiaries, and the MTI management team, all of whom signed the inaugural tyre. Mr. Wang underscored the rapid progress of the new plant, sharing, “In just 233 days, we went from groundbreaking to the first tyre off the line. This rapid progress sets a new benchmark for overseas tyre plant construction and demonstrates our team’s dedication and expertise.”
The MTI factory, sprawling across 500,000 square metres, is a critical component of ZC Rubber’s global ambitions. Its strategic location in a region abundant with natural rubber resources gives the company a distinct advantage in sourcing vital materials while also enhancing its global supply chain. Equipped with the latest digital technologies and staffed by a highly skilled workforce, the facility is poised to meet the growing demand for high-quality tyres, both locally and in international markets such as the United States.
ZC Rubber’s investment in Indonesia reflects the company’s commitment to expanding its presence in key global markets. With Phase II construction already underway, the MTI plant is set to significantly boost production capacity, ensuring the company is well-positioned to meet evolving customer needs worldwide.
