The independent testing conducted by ProMobil, a trusted resource for mobile home and caravan enthusiasts, evaluated tyres across various critical categories. These included traction, braking performance, and handling across a range of surfaces such as snow, wet and dry roads, and off-road terrain. Falken’s WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA distinguished itself by scoring highly in nearly all categories, particularly on gravel and in muddy conditions, where it delivered outstanding traction and control.
The WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA’s off-road capabilities stood out during the test, particularly on loose gravel and crushed stones. The tyre achieved “good” ratings in almost every off-road category and secured the best acceleration and braking results on crushed stones, with an impressive stopping distance of 11.2 metres. ProMobil's testers highlighted its exceptional performance on difficult surfaces, praising its overall handling and stability in rugged environments.
Falken’s all-terrain tyre also demonstrated its versatility in a variety of weather conditions, performing reliably in both snowy and wet environments. On snow-covered tracks, it delivered solid acceleration and stopping distances, while also achieving high marks for lateral stability. Its performance on wet roads was equally notable, earning 8.4 out of 10 possible points in the wet-road test, thanks to its excellent braking and aquaplaning resistance.
While the WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA shone off-road, it didn’t sacrifice on-road comfort or performance. The tyre demonstrated smooth handling on dry roads and produced low rolling noise levels, recorded at 73.4 dB (A) at 80 km/h with the engine switched off. This balance between off-road ruggedness and on-road refinement further solidified its position as the top tyre in the test.
ProMobil’s testers summarised their findings by calling Falken’s WILDPEAK A/T AT3WA the “test winner due to best all-round features and overall performance on and off road.”
