ZC Rubber has officially launched its new WESTLAKE Gen II truck tyres at the IAA Transportation 2024 event in Hanover, Germany. These new additions to the WESTLAKE Gen II lineup, specifically designed for the European market, highlight the company’s dedication to improving performance, safety, sustainability, and cost-efficiency for fleet operators.
The IAA event marked the debut of the WSL2, WDL2, and WTR2, a comprehensive and eco-friendly tyre solution for long-haul operations. Each tyre is engineered to meet the demanding needs of modern fleets while providing substantial cost savings.
WSL2 (Long Run/Steer Axle)
The WSL2 is designed to enhance wear resistance and improve mileage, making it ideal for long-distance operations. It features a high saturation pattern, hidden circumferential grooves, and 3D steel sheet technology for increased grip and stability. ZC Rubber’s Ultra Hybrid Formula also reduces rolling resistance, helping to lower fuel consumption for long-haul trucks.
WDL2 (Long Run/Drive Axle)
The WDL2 tyre focuses on durability with a wider tread and high saturation pattern, extending mileage and improving vehicle stability. Its multi 3D steel plate design enhances traction, while an advanced tread compound further reduces rolling resistance. This tyre offers fleet managers a cost-effective and fuel-efficient option for long-distance transport.
WTR2 (All Routes/Trailer Axle)
The WTR2, already on the market for over a year, continues to excel in performance with an A-grade rating for rolling resistance on the EU Tyre Label. It provides superior mileage and sustainability for trailers and semi-trailers, reinforcing its position as a leading choice for fleet operators looking to cut costs while maintaining optimal performance.
In addition to the long-haul tyres, ZC Rubber also introduced the WAM2 (Mixed Terrain/All Axle), a versatile tyre designed for both on and off-road conditions. The WAM2 features three zigzag main grooves and a high saturation tread pattern to improve wear resistance, prevent stone drilling, and extend mileage. Its Ultra Hybrid Formula significantly boosts fuel efficiency by lowering rolling resistance.
ZC Rubber’s new WESTLAKE Gen II tyres integrate the latest in tyre technology. The innovative Ultra Hybrid Formula reduces rolling resistance, while the Pre-strain Contour Theory (PSCT) minimises tyre profile deformation, leading to more even wear and longer tyre life. Each tyre is also equipped with Belt-Wrap Technology (BWT), offering greater resistance to rolling damage and enhancing stability, ensuring safety and peace of mind for fleet operators.
