This collaboration is timely, as recent government statistics underscore the importance of tyre maintenance. Each year, tyre-related defects contribute to approximately 152 deaths or serious injuries on UK roads. Furthermore, up to 6 million tyres currently on UK roads could have tread depths that fall below the legal limit, posing significant risks to road users.

Survey Reveals Gaps in Tyre Knowledge Among Younger Drivers
In conjunction with the campaign, TyreSafe and Anyline are conducting a survey to better understand UK drivers’ knowledge of tyre safety. Preliminary results suggest that younger drivers, especially those aged 18-34, may not be as familiar with tyre maintenance practices. The survey found that 26% of Gen Z drivers rely on friends or family members to check their tyres, compared to just 8% of older drivers. A comprehensive report on these findings will be released later this month, shedding light on potential areas for improved education and awareness.
