The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has announced that it will host a crucial "Right to Repair Summit" on Monday, 4th November 2024, at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas Resort & Casino. This timely event is set to take place from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Melrose 4 room, and will precede the highly anticipated Global Tire Expo (GTE) and SEMA Show.

The TIA's Right to Repair Summit is expected to bring together a range of key industry stakeholders including tyre dealers, manufacturers, suppliers, and other representatives. The event promises to be an essential platform for open dialogue, where leaders from TIA and the Auto Care Association will lead discussions aimed at advancing the federal codification of the REPAIR Act (Right to Equitable and Professional Auto Industry Repair).
According to TIA, this Summit is more than a discussion—it is a call to action for the entire industry to unite in securing the future of independent automotive services and maintaining a competitive market landscape.
“This issue is critical not just for service providers but for consumers and the entire automotive industry. We need to ensure that everyone has access to the resources necessary to repair vehicles while keeping the playing field fair and open for competition,” a spokesperson from TIA stated.
Before the Summit kicks off, attendees are invited to a luncheon from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Melrose 3 room, offering a perfect opportunity for informal networking before the intense discussions begin. Following the Summit, there will also be a reception in the London Room at Planet Hollywood from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., providing additional opportunities for industry professionals to connect and collaborate.
Participation in the Right to Repair Summit is considered vital for any industry player with a stake in the future of tyre and automotive services. The Summit’s outcomes will likely influence future legislative decisions and shape the industry's direction for years to come. Stakeholders attending the Summit can contribute their insights and be part of a unified effort to protect consumer rights and support the independent repair sector.
If you’re planning to attend the luncheon, prior registration is required. To confirm your attendance, please complete and submit your registration form via email to gte@tireindustry.org.
