Talia and Olivia, who have been friends since their days at Bryngwyn Comprehensive School, are thriving in an industry traditionally dominated by men. They’re now encouraging other young women to consider the possibilities in this rewarding field.
Talia, who has always had a passion for cars, shared, “It’s more than just a job – it’s a career I’m really passionate about and I’d encourage other girls to give it a go. They won’t be disappointed.”
Olivia’s journey into the automotive world began after she was inspired by Talia’s positive experiences. “I only really applied for the role after hearing Talia say so many positive things about her job,” Olivia said. “I’m so glad that I did because I’m learning every day and I feel like I’m making a difference for people by ensuring their cars are safe.”
The impact of their presence is evident, as ETB Llanelli has welcomed a new female apprentice following in their footsteps. Centre Manager Leigh Anthony praised their contribution, saying, “Talia and Olivia are a credit to the depot. Their commitment to customer care and safety is second to none.”
The success of Talia and Olivia showcases the career opportunities available within ETB Autocentres’ 52-store network across England and Wales. As the industry evolves, ETB is eager to welcome more women into roles that offer both challenge and reward.
