The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification ensures that the natural rubber used in tyre production is traceable throughout every processing stage, from the plantations to the tyre manufacturer. This rigorous chain of custody certification verifies that the rubber is sustainably farmed to the highest standards.

This collaboration between JLR and Pirelli represents a significant step towards more sustainable tyre production and adoption. It supports forest preservation and promotes sustainable development, aligning with JLR's Reimagine strategy, which emphasizes responsible sourcing and sustainability across their operations.

Matteo Battaini, Pirelli Head of Sustainability & New Mobility, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, noting, "We are proud that JLR has chosen to be the first car maker to use Pirelli tyres with FSC certification across a wide range of vehicles."

In addition to introducing FSC-certified tyres, JLR and Pirelli are working together to increase the percentage of sustainable and recycled content in all tyres supplied to JLR, furthering their shared sustainability ambitions.
