Hoosier Racing Tire is set to make its debut as the exclusive tyre partner for the FIA World Rallycross Championship, beginning with the 2024 season on 6th July in Sweden. This multi-year agreement will see Hoosier tyres used across various surfaces and series within the championship.
As a subsidiary of Continental AG, Hoosier Racing Tire has a 70-year history in the industry, producing over 1,000 types of racing tyres. The company has been a prominent name in numerous racing championships, including the NASCAR Euro Series and the Isle of Man TT.
The 2024 World Rallycross Championship introduces a "Battle of Technologies," featuring both electric-powered (EV) and sustainably fuelled internal combustion (ICE) cars, named RX1e and RX1 respectively. Hoosier will provide tyres for these cars, as well as for RX2e, Euro RX1, and Euro RX3 categories.
Martin Heckers, Head of Hoosier Racing Tire Europe, expressed excitement about the partnership: “It’s been a long time coming. After establishing ourselves in the US, we can now showcase Hoosier in Europe, starting with the World Rallycross Championship. I look forward to seeing this year's racing action unfold with Hoosier.”

The tyre will be used across all categories, and we cannot wait for the 2024 season to kick off this weekend.”
The championship season begins with the Ferratum World RX of Sweden on 6th July.
