Hankook Tyre UK is proud to announce its involvement in a heartfelt tribute to the late Kaye Mansel Davies MBE, who passed away in 2021. The company has supplied tyres for a memorial vehicle dedicated to Kaye, a leader of the Mansel Davies Group and a respected figure in North Pembrokeshire’s business community. The commemorative vehicle, a Volvo FH16 750, has been customised with airbrushed artwork that celebrates different stages of Kaye’s life.
The memorial truck, equipped with Hankook's high-performance 51 series tyres, stands as a moving tribute to Kaye’s legacy, symbolising her remarkable contributions to both her family business and the wider community. Kaye joined the Mansel Davies Group in 1959, assuming leadership in 1963, and under her guidance, the company became one of the largest employers in the region. Her dedication to exceptional customer service and community support was recognised when she was awarded an MBE in 2000 for her services to business and the local community.
To honour Kaye's memory, the Davies family commissioned the flagship Volvo FH16 750, a striking truck model that reflects both the strength and prestige of the family business. The vehicle's airbrushed artwork, featuring key moments from Kaye’s life, underscores her lifelong commitment to the business, the community, and her family.
Hankook’s 51 series tyres, including the AL51 and DL51 models, were selected for the vehicle based on the Mansel Davies Group's positive experience with Hankook products over the past two years.
