Hillhead 2024, the UK's largest quarrying, construction, and recycling exhibition, is held biennially at Hillhead Quarry in Buxton. The event attracts approximately 600 exhibitors and around 18,500 visitors, providing an ideal platform for Goodyear to present its Total Mobility offering. This comprehensive suite includes various products, services, and solutions designed to help off-the-road operations minimise costs, reduce downtime, and maintain productivity.

At Hillhead, Goodyear experts will be available to demonstrate how their range of products and solutions can enhance business efficiency. Central to their display will be the new GP-4D Gen II tyre (750/65R25), specifically designed for articulated dump trucks. This tyre boasts an optimised tread design, multiple steel belt carcass construction, and a unique tread compound. These features contribute to a versatile tread pattern for balanced performance, improved treadwear, and enhanced comfort for the operator.

Additionally, Goodyear will highlight its bespoke tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) technology for heavy-duty vehicles. The Goodyear TPMS Heavy Duty system provides real-time data to help site operators manage tyres, reducing machine downtime and optimising tyre life, operational efficiency, and costs. This system alerts operators and fleet managers to tyre-related issues before they become serious, making it applicable across all major OTR segments, including port operations, underground mining, surface mining, and construction.
