Bridgestone has unveiled the Potenza Sport A, a bespoke ultra-high-performance tyre developed for the new Audi e-tron GT family, designed to deliver superior performance while enhancing sustainability. The premium tyre, created as part of a longstanding collaboration between Bridgestone and Audi, sets new standards in energy efficiency, safety, and eco-friendliness.
The Bridgestone Potenza Sport A tyre was specifically engineered to meet the demands of Audi’s fully electric e-tron GT, including the high-performance S and RS models. Bridgestone’s advanced ENLITEN Technology played a pivotal role in achieving this balance by ensuring top-tier safety and performance, while simultaneously prioritising sustainability. This technology reduces the tyre’s environmental impact by improving energy efficiency and incorporating recycled materials, making the Potenza Sport A a perfect match for the cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) market.
One of the tyre's standout achievements is its EU label A grade in rolling resistance, a critical factor in boosting the Audi e-tron GT’s range to around 500km. By reducing energy loss, the tyre extends battery life, allowing drivers to go further between charges. Additionally, the Potenza Sport A has also earned an A grade in wet grip, offering outstanding safety in adverse weather conditions.
The Potenza Sport A is not only a high-performance tyre but also Bridgestone’s first mass-produced tyre to incorporate 55% recycled and renewable materials. This remarkable milestone comes with certification from the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS, underscoring Bridgestone’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and promoting circularity in tyre production.

Custom-designed for Audi’s fully electric powerhouse, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport A features a unique tread pattern, advanced reinforcement technology, and a tailored carcass design to optimise handling, comfort, and ride quality. The tyre’s precision engineering enhances the Audi e-tron GT’s dynamic steering response, ensuring that drivers experience both high performance and superior control.

The Potenza Sport A will be manufactured at Bridgestone’s plant near Rome, Italy, which achieved ISCC PLUS certification in 2022. This cutting-edge facility is a showcase of Bridgestone’s commitment to sustainability, with its entire production process powered by renewable energy. The tyres will be produced in 265/35 R21 and 305/30 R21 sizes to match the performance demands of the Audi e-tron GT.
