For their entry, Elite Garages chose a 2009 Peugeot 107 Verve, which was given a full gold service at their Horsham location. Ensuring safety for the upcoming journey, the team replaced key parts, including the brakes, headlights, and wiper blades, with high-quality Bosch components. Additionally, a new set of 155/65R14 tyres was fitted to make sure the car is rally-ready for the Alps’ challenging roads.

After a company-wide vote, the team decided on a Mario Kart theme, with Kelsie and Tara, the team’s rally drivers, set to don Mario and Luigi costumes. The Peugeot 107 has been fully decked out in classic Mario Kart style, complete with props like bananas, mushrooms, shells, and stars to add to the fun.

The Bangers4Ben rally route will take participants through some of Europe’s most scenic landscapes across France, Switzerland, and Germany, including a visit to the iconic Nürburgring circuit on the penultimate day of the event.

But the rally isn’t just about the thrill of the ride. Bangers4Ben raises funds for Ben, which provides essential support services for those working in the automotive industry, ranging from mental health assistance to financial aid. Fundraising efforts from Elite Garages include a charity raffle and cake sale, with donations surpassing £2,000 before the rally even began. Following the event, the vehicle will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to Ben.
