The Kitakyushu Plant, a critical global production base for Bridgestone’s OTR tyres, including the renowned "Bridgestone MASTERCORE" products, will undergo significant upgrades. These improvements will enhance safety, disaster prevention, eco-friendliness, quality, and productivity. Moreover, the investment will advance production technology for the next generation of Dan-Totsu products.
Marking a significant step in Bridgestone’s commitment to sustainability and customer satisfaction, the upgraded facilities will ensure a high-quality, stable supply of tyres. The focus on enhancing production capabilities without increasing volume underscores Bridgestone's dedication to quality over quantity.
Bridgestone MASTERCORE, a flagship product within the Dan-Totsu line, is celebrated for its ultra-high durability, achieved through unique in-house technologies, including steel cord manufacturing. Since its introduction in August 2020, MASTERCORE has been deployed in approximately 100 mines worldwide, earning acclaim from numerous mining companies for its robust performance and customizability.
In addition to enhancing physical tyre capabilities, Bridgestone is expanding its mining solutions by integrating digital technologies. This includes AI-driven tyre and vehicle data analytics, which optimise tyre maintenance timing and vehicle operation routes. Bridgestone's comprehensive mining solutions are further supported by a global service network and on-site engineering services, ensuring optimal tyre use and maintenance.
Bridgestone’s investment aligns with its corporate commitments to efficiency and ecology, as outlined in the "Bridgestone E8 Commitment." By improving resource productivity and extending tyre life, Bridgestone contributes to a more sustainable future, reducing the overall number of tyres used in mining operations.
