Ben, the automotive industry charity, is calling on individuals within the sector to join its new fundraising initiative, Ben’s Big Walk, scheduled for 8th September. Launched in conjunction with National Walking Month in May, the challenge aims to mobilise the automotive community for a good cause.
Participants can choose between two picturesque locations: the South Downs or Hadrian’s Wall, with options to complete a full or half marathon. The South Downs route offers stunning views and challenging terrain from Brighton to Eastbourne, while the Hadrian’s Wall trek covers a historic landscape alongside one of Europe’s largest ancient monuments.
This initiative encourages colleagues, friends, and family to unite, promoting fitness and camaraderie while raising crucial funds. Matt Wigginton, Ben’s Director of Partnerships, emphasised the importance of stepping up for industry members in need, highlighting the growing demand for the charity’s support services.
