GSF Car Parts has taken a major step in its ambitious growth strategy with the opening of its National Distribution Centre (NDC) in Wolverhampton. Operational since May, the state-of-the-art facility serves as a central logistics hub for GSF’s 194-branch network across the UK, promising enhanced service levels and streamlined delivery processes.

Located in a prime position in the West Midlands, the 500,000 sq ft facility is designed with scalability in mind, offering room to expand up to 750,000 sq ft. The site features advanced logistics capabilities, including 58 docks, eight-level access loading doors, and nearly 700 parking spaces for cars and HGVs. The centre also incorporates modern office spaces and is expected to create more than 400 jobs, providing a significant boost to the local economy.

This development aligns with GSF’s strong 2024 performance, where the company has reported year-on-year sales growth exceeding 22%.

Steve Horne, CEO of GSF Car Parts, emphasised the strategic importance of the NDC:

"The opening of our National Distribution Centre is a landmark moment for GSF Car Parts. For years, we recognised the need for a centralised facility to elevate our service, and now that vision is a reality. Located in an ideal, central position, this facility empowers us to deliver exceptional service and product availability to our customers."

Horne also highlighted the operational benefits of the NDC, stating that the facility will ensure branches are better stocked and equipped to focus on customer service.

Chairman Sukhpal Ahluwalia called the NDC a “gamechanger” for both GSF and the wider automotive aftermarket industry:

“The NDC is all about putting our customers at the centre of the business. When I was speaking with our customers last year, they all said that availability was one of their top priorities. They wanted to know that they could trust GSF to have the right part at the right time, every time."

Ahluwalia noted that the centre guarantees next-day deliveries nationwide, enabling branches to open with the required stock ready for customers.

This launch marks a significant milestone for GSF Car Parts and reflects the company’s commitment to innovation, customer service, and local community investment.
