Born in Rome, Centi's journey in the tyre retreading segment began at the age of ten, working alongside his father, a tyre salesman. Since 1979, he has dedicated his career to tyre retreading processes and machinery, accumulating 43 years of specialised experience. Reflecting on his career, Centi remarked, "I first felt the smell of rubber when I was ten years old with my father, who was a tyre salesman. Now, it’s a new beginning. I am very proud to become part of the Vipal family, an important multinational company in the sector."

Frederico Schmidt, General Manager for Vipal in Europe, emphasised Centi’s significance to the company. "Enrico Centi’s trajectory needs no introduction in Italy, as his name is well known in the sector. He joins our team to help us create a new identity for the Vipal brand in the Italian market and add even more value to the company’s ability to offer a full solution for tyre retreading, combining quality, and a wide range of products and services, which makes us a benchmark in this segment of activity," Schmidt stated.

Centi's role at Vipal extends beyond commercial consultancy; he will be pivotal in fostering relationships with new customers and bridging the gap between commercial and technical teams, fleets, and Vipal's comprehensive product and machinery portfolio. "Our next steps together are towards the development of an innovative and efficient business model, capable of delivering to retreaders everything they need to develop their activities," noted Gilson Dugno, International Sales Manager at Vipal.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy to redefine Vipal's market approach across Europe, beginning with the Italian market. Schmidt highlighted the ambition behind this move, "The idea is to replicate, based on this new business model created for the Italian market, a series of changes in the brand’s attitude throughout Europe. In other words, our plan is to go further, and we believe that, very soon, we will have other news to announce to the market."

Currently, Italy is the third largest market for our operations in Europe. “Our expectation for the future is to continue increasing our share in Italy, which is one of the most important markets on the continent. We aim to provide our esteemed customers with comprehensive and quality service, along with the best business solutions for everyone,” states Fabricio Nedeff, Commercial Manager for Vipal in Europe.

With Enrico Centi's extensive experience and strategic insights, Vipal is poised to strengthen its foothold in the Italian market, setting the stage for further growth and innovation in the tyre retreading industry across Europe.
