Tire Group International LLC (TGI) has announced the acquisition of Avaun Tire Supply, a well-established wholesale distributor based in Portland, Oregon. This strategic move marks a significant expansion for TGI into the Pacific Northwest region, further strengthening its footprint across the United States.
Avaun Tire Supply, founded in 2016 by Sherko Rasouli and Freddie Capshaw, has been a valued partner of TGI since its inception. The acquisition cements this long-standing relationship, bringing Avaun Tire fully into the TGI family.
Sherko Rasouli, one of the co-founders of Avaun Tire, will now oversee the TGI Portland region. In his expanded role, Rasouli will be responsible for driving sales of TGI’s house brands—Cosmo Tire, Astro Tyres, and Duramas—across the western USA. His leadership and industry expertise are expected to play a crucial role in growing TGI’s market presence in this region.
Joaquin Gonzalez Jr., president of TGI, expressed his enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Avaun to the TGI family. This acquisition not only expands our footprint in the Pacific Northwest but also allows us to strengthen our house brands, Cosmo Tire, Astro Tyres, and Duramas, under the capable leadership of Sherko Rasouli and Freddie Capshaw.”
Sherko Rasouli also shared his excitement about the acquisition, reflecting on his long-standing relationship with TGI. “Having been part of the TGI family for the past 13 years, first as vice president of Middle East sales and currently as their partner in Avaun, I am looking forward to our future together.”
