The UK debut of the new Prometeon-branded R02 Pro Trailer tyre was a highlight of the event. Designed for versatility and safety across all road conditions and seasons, the tyre features a completely new tread design and an innovative material compound. These enhancements ensure low rolling resistance and high durability, optimising total management costs. The new reinforced casing construction also increases load capacity to 10 tonnes, ensuring strength and retreadability even under high loads.
Ali Yilmaz, Managing Director of Prometeon Tyre Group for the UK, Eire, and Nordics, expressed the importance of the RTX 2024 event for the company. "RTX 2024 was a pivotal moment for us. It was not only an opportunity to showcase our new Prometeon-branded tyres, but also to reinforce our commitment to innovation and excellence in commercial vehicle tyres," he stated. The event allowed Prometeon to connect with key customers and industry leaders, raising the visibility of the Prometeon brand and highlighting their cutting-edge products.
Prometeon's Chief Technical Officer, Alexandre Bregantim, participated in ‘The Big Debate: Future of Tyres’ panel discussion at RTX. He shared insights into the company's research and development efforts, including the advanced technology behind the Serie 02 range. The Prometeon R&D team spent over four years developing these tyres, known for their durability, sustainability, and performance.
Yilmaz further explained the significance of the rebranding: "The rebranding is more than a name change; it represents Prometeon’s commitment to leveraging its own technological advancements and to writing its own history in the tyre industry. Our Serie 02 premium tyres were launched in 2022 after four years of R&D and hundreds of hours of road tests. They remain the most advanced truck tyres on the market, which is why all of that technology is being retained in our Prometeon-branded premium tyre range."
The response from customers at RTX was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing confidence in the continuity of quality and performance under the new Prometeon brand. The company's commitment to retaining the advanced technology of the Serie 02 tyres ensures that the new range will continue to meet the high standards expected by their customers.
Prometeon's successful rebranding and the introduction of the R02 Pro Trailer tyre mark the beginning of a new chapter for the company, as it continues to innovate and lead in the tyre industry.
