Manu Salmi, EVP of Heavy Tyres and Nokia Factory, highlighted the importance of this investment, noting that the increasing size of heavy tyres and evolving customer requirements necessitate enhanced production capabilities. "The new production line will provide us with the additional capacity needed and is important for a balanced heavy tyre product portfolio and growth," Salmi said.
This expansion will also mark the end of inner tube production at the company's Lieksa facility, with operations gradually winding down in 2025 as the new line in Nokia ramps up.
