The company was awarded in the Green Leadership category for its significant solar panel installation at the Pulandian manufacturing facility in Dalian, China. The installation, comprising over 29,700 solar panels, is projected to reduce carbon emissions from purchased electricity by 17,000 metric tons annually over the next 25 years, powering the plant along with its office and warehouse buildings.

Additionally, Goodyear was honoured in the Social Empowerment category for its "Goodyear Good Care" Campaign. This initiative, now in its fourth year, involved donating 244 "Goodyear Cargo Max" tyres to hospitals across Thailand, significantly improving the safety of inter-hospital patient transfers.

Nathaniel Madarang, President of Goodyear Asia Pacific, highlighted the importance of these awards in aligning with the company's vision. “We are honoured that our efforts are being recognised by industry observers and external organisations,” he said. “These awards serve as a testament to our commitment to the Goodyear Better Future framework, which is an extension of our business ethos. The framework's four pillars — Sustainable Sourcing, Responsible Operations, Advanced Mobility, and Inspiring Culture — continue to guide our work and focus. We remain steadfast in our commitment to the Asia Pacific region, driven by the vision to be recognised as the best mobility enabler in luxury, sport utility, and electric vehicles.”

AREA honours Asian businesses for their dedication to sustainable and responsible business practices across categories such as Green Leadership, Social Empowerment, Health Promotion, Investment in People, Corporate Governance, Circular Economy Leadership, Corporate Sustainability Reporting, and Responsible Business Leadership. The programme also provides a platform for sharing, educating, and inspiring others to adopt environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
