The European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers' Association (ETRMA) has officially joined the Global Data Service Organisation (GDSO) as an associate member, enhancing its role within the tyre and automotive components sectors.
Founded in 2022, the GDSO serves as a cooperative entity focused on the standardisation of data in relation to tyres. Its mission includes the development of methodologies for data access and the facilitation of data exchange among stakeholders.
Adam McCarthy, the Secretary General of ETRMA, highlighted the significance of this partnership, stating, "Our association's involvement with the GDSO is a testament to the European tyre industry's dedication to pushing the boundaries of technology and sustainability." He expressed optimism about the role of digitalisation in promoting a circular economy and added, "We are eager to work alongside GDSO in crafting innovative solutions that ensure the availability of tyre data online.
