Dunlop has unveiled its latest addition to the passenger car tyre market, the Dunlop Winter, designed to provide winter driving confidence across a broad range of vehicles. This new tyre is set to be available in 69 sizes, ranging from 15 to 21 inches, making it suitable for mainstream and city cars.

Key Features of Dunlop Winter

The Dunlop Winter tyre has been engineered with a strong focus on performance in snowy and wet conditions. Its advanced sipe system allows the tread blocks to actively dig into the snow, improving braking performance. Additionally, the lateral block edges of the tread pattern help channel water away from the contact patch, enhancing handling and control on wet roads.

A significant feature of the Dunlop Winter is its 'EV Ready' logo on the sidewall, confirming its compatibility with both electric vehicles (EVs) and internal combustion engine (ICE) cars. The tyre's lightweight construction, which reduces its weight by up to 1 kg, helps reduce rolling resistance, contributing to improved fuel efficiency and a longer range for EVs.

Streamlined Range with Advanced Technology

The Dunlop Winter is part of Dunlop’s new streamlined product range, which also includes the All Season 2 tyre launched last year. The new range aims to deliver long-lasting quality at a competitive price point while maintaining the brand’s reputation for reliability and performance.

Sonia Leneveu, Director Marketing Consumer EMEA at Goodyear, commented:

“Dunlop Winter is the latest addition to our new streamlined Dunlop range which aims to help drivers feel assured and confident about driving in varied winter conditions. With key technical advancements to improve the driving experience on snowy and wet roads, we’re sure that this new tyre allows drivers across Europe to focus on their journey with peace of mind.”

Tailored for Modern Vehicle Needs

With the rise of electrified vehicles in today’s car parc, the Dunlop Winter's lightweight construction plays a crucial role in enhancing EV efficiency. The tyre’s development aligns with Dunlop’s broader strategy to offer versatile and efficient tyre solutions for modern drivers.
