New tyre aims to bridge off-road capability with everyday usability across 29 sizes by 2025.

Cosmo Tires, a brand under Tire Group International (TGI), has released the Gripit XT—its latest extreme all-terrain tyre engineered for both off-road durability and on-road refinement.

The Gripit XT launch will take place in two stages, starting with 14 sizes now available through Cosmo’s distribution network. An additional 15 sizes are scheduled to follow in 2025. The range accommodates wheel diameters from 17 to 22 inches and includes both P-metric and LT configurations.

Dual-purpose design with enhanced durability

Developed with off-road enthusiasts and light truck owners in mind, the Gripit XT combines structural robustness with driving comfort. Key features include:

  • Scalloped shoulder lugs to boost grip in mud, sand, and rocky terrain
  • Quiet Kat Technology aimed at reducing on-road noise
  • Customisable sidewalls, allowing drivers to choose between raised black lettering or indented UHP-style script
  • Ultimate Tire Technology, which incorporates reinforced beads and structural enhancements for extended service life

Backed by a 50,000-mile warranty, the Gripit XT is positioned as a premium choice in the extreme all-terrain (XT) segment, balancing performance and design.

Mark Lindsey, Chief Strategy Officer at Cosmo Tires, stated the Gripit XT surpasses several mainstream competitors in key categories such as traction, ride quietness, and longevity.

The Gripit XT reflects growing demand for multi-use tyres that serve both utility and lifestyle segments, especially in the North American light truck and SUV markets. By incorporating noise reduction tech and sidewall customisation into an XT tyre, Cosmo is targeting consumers who expect off-road capability without compromising on-road comfort or aesthetics. This hybridisation approach is also increasingly relevant for fleet operators in mixed-use environments.
