Davanti Tyres, a leading UK mid-range tyre brand, has been confirmed as the official technical partner for the 750 Motor Club’s highly anticipated Swift Sport Challenge, launching in 2025. This partnership will see Davanti’s Protoura Race tyre become the championship’s exclusive control tyre, emphasising affordability, performance, and accessibility.
The Swift Sport Challenge aims to redefine entry-level motorsport with cost-saving innovations. These include incentives for road-going cars, restrictions on pre-race testing, shared car setup data, and a ban on expensive performance-enhancing data logging equipment. The championship is designed to make competitive racing more accessible to novice and seasoned drivers alike.
The Protoura Race tyre, specifically designed for track performance, has been selected as the perfect fit for the Swift Sport Challenge. Combining semi-slick tread patterns for outstanding dry grip and reliable wet handling, the tyre delivers an optimal balance of performance and cost-efficiency.
Features of the Protoura Race tyre include:
BMTR Motorsport will handle supply and fitting, ensuring seamless access for competitors.
In addition to using the Protoura Race tyres, all race cars will feature Davanti’s signature branding. To further support racers, free tyre giveaways will be held during each Swift Sport Challenge event.
Sean Maddocks, Sales Director for Davanti Tyres UK & Ireland, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration:
“At Davanti Tyres, we’re really pleased to work with 750 Motor Club and to see our first-ever track tyre become the control tyre for the Swift Sport Challenge, supporting a new entry-level formula that aims to reduce the cost to be competitive and generally be more accessible.”
Giles Groombridge, Managing Director of 750 Motor Club, added:
“As the Home of Affordable Motorsport, 750 Motor Club is delighted to announce the Swift Sport Challenge’s partnership with Davanti Tyres. The brand and tyre aligns with our aim of the next level of low-cost circuit racing in an ever more challenging economic climate.”
The championship will begin with the Protoura Race tyre’s debut as the control tyre at Donington Park in April 2025. Racers and fans alike can look forward to witnessing this partnership in action, with Davanti’s innovative tyres poised to deliver both performance and value.
