Bridgestone has announced a new partnership with Bravo Medics, a Bristol-based charity that delivers critical medical care across the South West, by fitting Turanza All Season 6 tyres to the vehicles used by their consultants.

The collaboration forms part of Bridgestone’s ‘Become a Road Safety Hero’ campaign, aimed at raising awareness of tyre safety and recognising individuals who work to keep roads safe.

Bravo Medics is made up of volunteer doctors who respond to emergencies across Bristol, Bath, Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Equipped with advanced medical equipment, they deliver emergency department-level care directly to those in urgent need, saving hundreds of lives each year.

Bridgestone’s contribution ensures that Bravo Medics’ consultants can travel safely and reliably in all weather conditions. The tyre manufacturer has supplied complimentary Turanza All Season 6 tyres to the charity’s consultants, beginning with Consultant Cardiologist Dr. Glyn Thomas.

Dr. Thomas commented on the importance of tyre safety, saying: “People often take tyres for granted, but they are the only four points of contact between your car and the road. We respond to a wide range of incidents, and around one in four are road traffic collisions. A significant number of these are tyre related, so we can’t stress enough how vital premium quality tyres like Bridgestone produce are.”

Kwik Fit, Bridgestone’s UK retail partner, carried out the tyre fitting on Dr. Thomas’ Skoda Kodiaq Sportline. The Turanza All Season 6 tyres are designed to deliver consistent performance in all conditions and are suitable for electric, petrol, and diesel vehicles.

Dr. Thomas added: “In my line of work, we get called out in all weather conditions, at any time of the day. I’ve experienced tyre-related incidents myself while driving, so having confidence in my tyres is essential to ensure I can reach patients safely.”

The initiative also supports wider road safety efforts, with Bridgestone echoing TyreSafe’s campaigns to encourage regular tyre checks. According to the company, there are an estimated six million illegal tyres on UK roads.

Helen Roe, Senior Marketing Manager at Bridgestone UK, said: “Bravo Medics embody everything that Bridgestone’s ‘Become a Road Safety Hero' campaign stands for. They work selflessly to save lives, often in the most challenging of conditions, and we’re honoured to support them by fitting our Turanza All Season 6 tyres to their vehicles.”
