Point S, the independent tyre dealership and car maintenance, has announced its official sponsorship of the 26th International Handball Federation’s (IHF) Women’s World Championship.
Set to take place across Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, this prestigious event will run from 29th November to 17th December 2023.
Building on its previous sponsorship of the 25th Women’s World Championship in Japan in 2019 and the 2022 European Women’s Handball Championship, Point S is continuing its strong association with the sport. The upcoming tournament will showcase 32 top women’s national handball teams from continents including Europe, Africa, North and South America, and Asia. These teams will compete in various venues like Herning, Frederikshavn, Stavanger, Trondheim, Helsingborg, and Gothernburg, vying for the coveted title of the world’s best.
Fabien Bouquet, CEO of Point S International, emphasised the alignment of the company’s values with the sport: “The sporting values of commitment and team spirit are ingrained in our network of over 6,100 Point S centres all over the world.” He expressed his enthusiasm for the sponsorship, noting its reflection of Point S’s ambition to deliver top-notch service by promoting these ideals.
Muriel Clarke, Point S International Brand and Licences Manager, also shared her thoughts, highlighting the parallel between the teamwork, dedication, and expertise required in elite handball and the values upheld across Point S’s global operations. “We are immensely proud to continue our association with elite handball,” Clarke stated, expressing eagerness for the commencement of the tournament.
Point S’s continued involvement in women’s handball underscores its commitment to supporting and promoting sports that align with its core values. As the world’s leading independent tyre dealer and car maintenance network, Point S demonstrates how corporate sponsorship can extend beyond mere branding to embodying and championing the spirit of the sports it supports. This partnership not only highlights the company's dedication to fostering sporting excellence but also its belief in the power of teamwork and commitment — principles that are central to its business ethos.
