Apollo Tyres, will harness Zeus Command AI to drive down transportation costs by an estimated €1.8 million annually within its European operations. Additionally, Apollo expects to achieve up to a 25% boost in operational productivity through the innovative platform.

Advanced Freight Management with Zeus Command AI

Zeus Command AI is a comprehensive freight management system that streamlines essential logistics functions such as slot management, freight rate negotiations, and live route tracking. By integrating directly with Apollo Tyres’ existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Transportation Management System (TMS), and Warehouse Management System (WMS), Zeus Command AI enables real-time visibility and control over the entire logistics process. This integration is complemented by the Zeus Driver app, which allows Apollo Tyres to monitor individual vehicles and entire fleets in detail.

In 2024, Apollo Tyres initiated trials of Zeus Command AI in Europe and is set to expand its adoption globally. The system has been particularly instrumental in Apollo’s logistics operations by automating processes and enhancing overall efficiency.

Significant Savings and Enhanced Sustainability

Beyond the impressive cost savings, Apollo Tyres has realised notable sustainability benefits through Zeus Connect, a scalable transport solution that gives Apollo access to over 15,000 vehicles across Europe, including options for eco-friendly freight. This aligns with Apollo Tyres’ sustainability goals while improving the speed and reliability of its logistics network.

Clemente Theotokis, Co-Founder and Joint MD of Zeus, remarked, “We’ve proven the critical importance of digitising logistics operations by bringing Apollo Tyres considerable savings and operational efficiencies. We’ve also demonstrated how easily Zeus Command AI is able to integrate with and optimise large-scale and complex logistics systems and we look forward to helping other organisations reap the benefits of a digital and highly-sophisticated logistics operation.”

Theotokis added that this partnership marks a significant milestone in expanding Zeus’s freight management solutions across Europe, positioning the company for further growth in international markets.

Streamlined Collaboration and Enhanced Customer Service

Hizmy Hassen, Chief Digital and Supply Chain Officer at Apollo Tyres, highlighted the operational advantages of partnering with Zeus, saying, “Zeus has developed a unique tool that helps streamline internal sales-to-logistics collaboration and automates the integration and optimal use of our pan-European transport network. It’s really about fulfilling our distributors’ needs for fast order to delivery. This tool sits seamlessly on top of our Oracle system and works with our existing TMS.”

With Zeus Command AI, Apollo Tyres has successfully improved its internal workflows, enhanced its customer service, and strengthened its relationships with transport providers. Zeus’s Chief Product Officer, Janko Stojanovic, noted, “Apollo Tyres’ customers and transport providers are benefitting from the power of a cutting-edge logistics solution, and we are pleased to have played a crucial role in enhancing visibility, transparency, and efficiency in Apollo Tyres’ supply chain processes.”

A Strong Foundation for Future Expansion

Following the success of its UK and Ireland operations with logistics leader Wincanton, Zeus anticipates substantial growth, with a 100% increase in Connect product adoption and a 170% increase in Command AI adoption by the end of 2024. With a growing portfolio of over 60 major enterprise customers, Zeus continues to expand its footprint, moving approximately 250,000 tonnes of cargo annually across Europe.

As Zeus looks to roll out its solutions to new regions, the partnership with Apollo Tyres serves as a compelling case study in the value of digitised logistics management. By leveraging Zeus Command AI, Apollo Tyres not only enhances efficiency but also positions itself as a frontrunner in sustainable logistics practices.
