Vaculug Ltd has officially released its new mobile application, V-TORQUE, a digital tool designed to provide quick access to wheel nut torque specifications and re-torque settings for commercial vehicles over 7.5 tonnes operating in the UK.
The app is now available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store following successful field trials with selected service providers.
The V-TORQUE app aims to support commercial vehicle technicians and fleet managers by offering instant access to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) torque data. The tool is intended to help reduce the risk of wheel detachment incidents and ensure that vehicles remain compliant with torque setting guidelines.
By centralising torque specifications in a mobile-friendly format, the app removes the need for physical manuals or separate data sources, particularly useful for technicians working across multiple vehicle types.
V-TORQUE has been developed to serve operators of vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, covering a wide range of truck and trailer configurations used across UK fleets. The app allows users to search by vehicle make and model to retrieve torque specifications, including re-torque guidance after wheel fitting.
This functionality is especially relevant for roadside assistance teams, workshop technicians, and mobile tyre service providers working within time-sensitive and safety-critical environments.
The V-TORQUE app reflects a growing trend towards digital tools that enhance vehicle safety and compliance in the commercial tyre sector. With increasing attention on fleet uptime and regulatory standards, mobile solutions like this highlight how tyre service providers are integrating technology to streamline essential maintenance. As digitalisation accelerates, tools that enable faster, more accurate servicing will likely become standard practice for commercial fleet operations.
