Advance and Samson, brands under Guizhou Tyre Co., are ramping up global expansion via their Vietnam facility, with a focus on innovative PCR tyre production and a strategic 2026 entry into the European market. The state-of-the-art plant in Tien Giang Province is set to play a pivotal role in sustainable manufacturing and future tyre technologies.
Located in Long Giang Industrial Park near Ho Chi Minh City, the facility began operations in 2020 with an initial $214 million investment. Designed for high-volume production, it manufactures 1.2 million all-steel radial truck and bus tyres annually, with future capability to include off-the-road (OTR) and speciality tyres. Investment could rise to $400 million as expansion continues.
Advance and Samson are now progressing towards PCR tyre production at the same site, supported by intelligent automation systems and smart factory infrastructure. The integration of big data and advanced quality control supports precision manufacturing and aligns with rising global standards for eco-conscious tyres.
The brands plan to enter the European PCR replacement tyre market in 2026, aiming to meet rigorous EU regulatory requirements. With the continent’s focus on supply chain resilience and sustainability, the move is strategically timed to meet shifting demands for low-emission, high-performance tyres.
The Vietnam site emphasises environmentally responsible production, incorporating recycled materials and aiming to reduce carbon emissions. Its geographic proximity to natural rubber sources also aids in cutting logistics-related environmental impact and enhances responsible sourcing practices.
Advance and Samson’s investment in smart manufacturing and sustainable practices signals a broader industry shift. With the Vietnam facility leveraging AI, automation, and eco-friendly design, it mirrors the global tyre sector’s pivot toward digitised, low-carbon operations — especially relevant for EU market integration and competitive PCR innovation.
