OTR Engineered Solutions (OTR) and Pressure Systems International (P.S.I.) have teamed up to bring tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) to the off-road sector. The collaboration integrates P.S.I.’s TireView system into OTR’s tyre and wheel assemblies, offering real-time tyre health visibility for off-highway equipment.
The system, which OTR is incorporating into OEM customer platforms, enables fleet and rental operators to detect pressure issues before they lead to costly downtime.
The off-road TPMS solution offers a suite of features designed to reduce tyre failures and improve operational oversight:
▪ Real-time pressure and temperature tracking via embedded sensors
▪ Flexible data access through in-cab displays, smartphone apps, or dashboard integration
▪ Immediate alerts for pressure anomalies or temperature spikes
▪ Remote telematics integration with TireView LIVE for asset and tyre tracking
▪ Plug-and-play installation for ease of adoption across vehicle types
The solution is targeted at equipment used in construction, materials handling, equipment rental, and powersports. These environments are often harsh on tyres, making condition monitoring critical for safety and cost control.
Ben Brown, Global VP of OEM Sales & Marketing for OTR, noted the strategic value of the partnership:
“P.S.I. is an industry leader and expert in TPMS technology. Pairing that with OTR’s tyre and wheel capabilities creates added value for our customers.”
This development signals a broader push toward connected tyre technologies in non-highway applications. While TPMS has been standard in on-road vehicles for years, its growing adoption in off-road, fleet, and rental sectors reflects increasing emphasis on predictive maintenance, uptime, and digital integration across the mobility ecosystem.
