Michelin is encouraging farmers and contractors to ensure their tyres are running at optimal pressures with the help of its free-to-use AgroPressure app.

Michelin is urging farmers and contractors to take advantage of its free-to-use AgroPressure app, a tool designed to help optimise tyre pressures for improved efficiency, reduced costs, and better soil protection.

Available on both PC and mobile devices, the app allows users to calculate and simulate the correct tyre pressures for various agricultural tasks based on load, speed, and application. This ensures machinery operates at peak efficiency while reducing tyre wear and limiting soil compaction.

Helping Farmers Get the Most from Their Machinery

As agricultural equipment continues to grow larger and heavier, running on optimised tyre pressures has never been more crucial. Tom Saunders, Michelin’s Beyond Road – Agricultural CES Technical Manager, highlights the importance of the AgroPressure app:

“Farm equipment is larger and heavier than ever before, so having tractors working on the optimised tyre pressures has never been more important. AgroPressure gives you quick and easy advice on the recommended pressures for your tyres, based on the use and implements attached.
“Thanks to our extensive database, farmers can calculate and simulate the right tyre pressure at the touch of a button.”

The app provides users with the correct pressure (in BAR and PSI) for ploughing, cultivating, drilling, or transporting crops—all within three minutes.

The app is available on PC and mobile, and allows farmers to find the correct pressure for each specific task in less than three minutes.

Key Benefits of the AgroPressure App

  • Improved Fuel Efficiency – Correct tyre pressures help reduce rolling resistance, cutting down on fuel consumption.
  • Minimised Soil Compaction – Protecting soil structure leads to healthier crop yields.
  • Extended Tyre and Machinery Lifespan – Reducing unnecessary wear and tear lowers replacement costs.
  • Enhanced Productivity – Ensures tractors and implements operate at peak efficiency.

User-Friendly and Free to Download

One of the standout features of the AgroPressure app is its intuitive and easy-to-use design. According to Saunders:

“Whether or not you know your axle weights, our application makes it easy to find the right pressures, whatever your tractor and implement configuration. Its clever, intuitive design makes it extremely user-friendly. We’d urge all agricultural operators to download the app and take full advantage.”

Michelin’s AgroPressure app is available for free on Google Play and the App Store. Farmers and contractors can also access it via PC for a comprehensive tyre pressure optimisation experience.
