ENSO Expands EV Tyre Access Through i247 Group Collaboration and UK-wide Fitting Centres

ENSO Teams Up with i247 Group to Expand EV Tyre Accessibility Across the UK

ENSO, the innovative London-based tyre manufacturer dedicated to electric vehicles (EVs), has announced a strategic partnership with i247 Group, a leader in fleet and tyre management services. The collaboration aims to enhance access to ENSO’s high-performance tyres, specifically engineered for the demanding needs of commercial EVs, through over 4,000 fitting centres across England, Scotland, and Wales.

The initiative ensures that fleet operators and commercial EV drivers can benefit from ENSO’s cutting-edge tyres, which have been independently verified to boost EV efficiency and reduce pollution. Mobile fitting services are also included to support fleets on the go, minimising vehicle downtime and maximising productivity.

Delivering Performance and Sustainability for EV Fleets

ENSO’s tyres are designed to address the unique requirements of high-mileage EVs, including delivery vans and ride-hailing vehicles. With these tyres, drivers can achieve up to 10% more range and enjoy superior safety performance, rated two levels above standard replacement tyres. Moreover, ENSO tyres significantly reduce energy consumption and tyre costs, providing fleets with a tangible reduction in total cost of ownership (TCO).

Notably, Transport for London trials, validated by Emissions Analytics, demonstrated that ENSO tyres reduce particulate pollution by up to 35%, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Driving EV Transition with Strategic Collaborations

Gunnlaugur Erlendsson, CEO of ENSO, emphasised the importance of this partnership:
“Choosing the right tyre can lead to significant cost savings every mile. Our fleet-first approach ensures high-mileage EV drivers have access to affordable tyres that last longer, increase EV range, and reduce pollution. This partnership with i247 Group fills a critical gap in the market for EV-specific high-performance tyres, helping drivers and fleet operators adapt to the growing EV transition.”

Sam Mason, Managing Director of i247 Group, echoed these sentiments:
“Our partnership with ENSO gives UK fleet operators and drivers access to groundbreaking tyre technology that improves efficiency, safety, and sustainability whilst reducing the total cost of ownership for EV fleet operators.”

Expanding Global Footprint

This partnership complements ENSO’s recent agreement with Uber, providing discounted tyres to UK and US Uber drivers. The company is also scaling its operations globally, with plans for a $500 million carbon-neutral tyre factory in the US, expected to produce over five million tyres annually from 2027.
