National truck tyre specialist Tructyre has strengthened its safety and quality credentials by achieving recertification for ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards. These certifications cover customer satisfaction, health and safety, and environmental management, underscoring Tructyre’s commitment to operational excellence.
Tructyre’s recertification for ISO 45001 highlights the effectiveness of its health and safety framework, demonstrating that operational employees adhere to strict protocols designed to minimise the risk of work-related injuries and support mental health. The audit assessed technicians' preparation and execution of tasks, as well as the safety standards of vans and equipment, ensuring compliance with legal health and safety requirements.
Antonia Lamb, Head of Health & Safety at Tructyre, stated:
"Tructyre aims to foster a culture of safety, and the ultimate objective is to create an industry sector-leading work environment that minimises accidents. We are committed to fostering a work philosophy based on safety that appreciates customer care and works towards minimising our carbon footprint. Following the audit, zero non-conformances were raised, which is a great result."
Central to Tructyre’s health and safety strategy are its six non-negotiable ‘Lifesaving Rules’, which ensure that operational staff follow correct processes to maintain safety. These rules cover critical tasks such as correctly inflating tyres and safely raising vehicles, embedding a culture where safety is prioritised above all else.
Mark Hughes, Quality Manager at Tructyre, added:
"Credit to the health and safety and quality procedures implemented in the business, and the expertise and dedication of our people. The ISO recognition confirms our commitment to delivering safe, quality services that our customers value and follow the correct environmental management systems."
Tructyre’s ‘Driving our Future’ strategy integrates high standards of customer service, employee safety, and environmental responsibility. The ISO 9001 certification reflects Tructyre's strong processes for achieving customer satisfaction, while ISO 14001 recognises the company's commitment to environmental management.
The ‘Our Planet’ initiative underpins Tructyre’s efforts to reduce waste, eliminate pollution, and optimise energy use. The company aims to minimise its carbon footprint by choosing environmentally responsible suppliers and prioritising the reduction, reuse, and recycling of materials.
