The Renegade AT Sport is currently available in 14 sizes, catering to a wide range of vehicles and driving needs.
Project SafeDrive represents Radar’s commitment to advancing driver and vehicle safety with cutting-edge yet affordable tyre technologies. Central to this initiative is the introduction of Run-Flat technology and a bulletproof tyre range, both designed to provide essential protection in everyday and high-risk driving situations.
Run-Flat Technology will be introduced in seven key sizes under the Dimax Sport and Dimax Sprint ranges, targeting CUV drivers in South Africa. Radar Tyres is committed to making these safety-enhancing tyres accessible by offering them at the same price as regular tyres, ensuring that safety is not a luxury but a standard available to all drivers.
The Bulletproof Tyre Range, branded as Radar Renegade Ultra, is currently under development and undergoing rigorous ballistics testing. This range will be introduced under the Renegade series of light truck and 4x4 tyres, with an expected launch by Q1 of 2025.
Speaking at the event, GS Sareen, President and CEO of Omni United, emphasised the significance of the South African market for Radar Tyres. "South Africa represents a key market for Radar Tyres, and we are proud to showcase our Radar Premium Collection—a range of tyres that rivals the performance of leading brands but comes at a much more accessible price point," said Sareen. "The objective of Mission African Terrain is not just about showcasing products; it’s about forging strong connections with retailers and demonstrating the essence of our brand, which has always been rooted in giving back to the community."
Sareen highlighted Project SafeDrive as a testament to this commitment, particularly in addressing the unique challenges faced by South African drivers. "By subsidising key run-flat tyre sizes, we are ensuring that safety isn't a luxury but a standard—one that is affordable and within reach for all drivers. This initiative isn't just about tyres; it’s about empowering the community, providing peace of mind, and reinforcing our dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of South African drivers."
The seven Run-Flat sizes under Project SafeDrive are expected to be available in South Africa by the end of 2024, while the Renegade Ultra bulletproof range is slated for a Q1 2025 launch. These innovations underscore Radar Tyres’ ongoing commitment to advancing tyre technology while ensuring safety and accessibility for all drivers.
