The three-day event, held from 25 to 27 April, marks a key step in the company's efforts to expand its international footprint and reinforce brand trust across core markets.
Since its inception in 2016, the Purple Summit has served as a platform for NEXEN TIRE to engage closely with its international partners. The 2025 edition, the first hosted in Germany, follows NEXEN TIRE’s strategic sponsorship agreement with FC Bayern München and emphasises the company’s commitment to growth across Europe, North America, Asia, and Latin America.
Approximately 50 business partners from 24 countries attended the summit, participating in sessions that outlined NEXEN TIRE’s global market strategy and visiting FC Bayern München’s Allianz Arena to experience the brand’s sports marketing initiatives.
NEXEN TIRE has steadily expanded its original equipment (OE) supply partnerships since beginning its global OE programme in 2012. Today, the company’s products are available in about 150 countries, with international markets accounting for around 85% of total revenue. The brand’s focus on premium positioning and sports marketing has supported steady revenue growth, from KRW 1 trillion in 2010 to KRW 2.85 trillion in 2024.
The ongoing expansion of NEXEN TIRE’s European plant in Žatec, Czech Republic, is set to further increase production capacity and support rising global demand.
NEXEN TIRE’s association with FC Bayern München has become a cornerstone of its marketing approach, aiming to boost brand visibility and credibility in major markets. Activities during the Purple Summit included exclusive tours and match-day experiences, linking the sporting excellence of FC Bayern München with NEXEN TIRE’s premium brand message.
The event also underlined the company’s emphasis on collaborative growth with its partners, as part of a broader effort to achieve sustained success in a competitive global market.
NEXEN TIRE’s approach highlights the increasing importance of brand building, partner engagement, and localised market strategies in the global tyre sector. As premium and EV tyre markets expand, strong OEM partnerships and regional production capabilities, like the Žatec plant, will play a key role in capturing future demand. This mirrors a wider industry trend where brand equity and supply agility are becoming as crucial as technological performance.
