Linglong Tyre has officially commenced construction on its new tyre manufacturing facility in the Hi-Tech Industrial Park in Lu'an, Anhui Province. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on 7 March 2025, marking the start of a significant project that aligns with the company's strategic expansion both domestically and internationally.
The Lu'an project represents a substantial investment of 5.1 billion yuan, aimed at bolstering Linglong’s production capacity. The facility is designed to produce 14 million high-performance radial tyres annually. Of these, 12 million will cater to passenger cars and light trucks, while the remaining 2 million will be for trucks and buses.
Additionally, the site will include a waste tyre recycling unit capable of processing 30 kilotonnes of end-of-life tyres per year. This initiative is in line with increasing industry demands for sustainable practices and tyre recycling solutions.
The initial phase of construction focuses on building the living area and related supporting infrastructure. This phased approach is intended to streamline the construction process, ensuring that the project remains on track for its expected completion by March 2029.
This new facility is part of Linglong’s broader strategy to enhance its production capabilities and reinforce its market presence globally. The integration of a waste tyre recycling unit also demonstrates Linglong’s commitment to environmental sustainability by addressing the lifecycle of its products.
Once completed, the Lu'an facility will significantly boost Linglong's production output and support its goals of meeting rising demand in the automotive market. The project also underscores the growing importance of recycling and waste management in the tyre industry, setting a benchmark for future developments.
