GEMCO UK Limited has played a crucial role in developing the newly upgraded Lamborghini Leeds workshop. Due to its rise in the Manufacturer’s Tier System, Lamborghini Leeds required a larger workshop and showroom, and GEMCO delivered with cutting-edge equipment and expert installation.

A New Era for Lamborghini Leeds

Lamborghini Leeds, part of Park’s Motor Group, recently unveiled its newly expanded workshop, a move driven by its elevation within the Manufacturer’s Tier System. With the original workshop repurposed as a showroom, the expansion required a high-tech facility to accommodate the demands of servicing high-performance supercars.

GEMCO UK Limited, a market leader in garage equipment supply and installation, was entrusted with equipping the new Lamborghini Leeds workshop. Their involvement ensured that the facility met the luxury brand’s high standards, delivering both functionality and aesthetic excellence.

GEMCO’s Key Contributions

To facilitate a seamless transition, GEMCO first established a temporary workshop, ensuring that Lamborghini Leeds remained fully operational during the refurbishment. This included:

  • Installing three AUTOPSTENHOJ Maestro 2.35NxT 2-post lifts in the temporary facility
  • Relocating existing workshop furniture
  • Moving and reinstalling the air compressor
  • Installing essential pipework systems

Once the temporary facility was in place, the team proceeded with:

  • Uninstalling the previous three Autopstenhoj Masterlift 2.35 Saa in-ground swing arm lifts
  • Removing the existing exhaust extraction reels and pipework system
  • Allowing the main contractor to begin full refurbishment of the primary workshop

State-of-the-Art Workshop Design and Equipment

The completed workshop now features a 10-bay layout with premium custom-finished furniture in RAL9005, adhering to Lamborghini’s strict design specifications. Each service bay is meticulously designed for efficiency, featuring:

Five new Autopstenhoj Masterlift 2.35 NxT Saa next-generation in-ground swing arm lifts
Three reinstalled Masterlift 2.35 Saa in-ground swing arm lifts
MagiX 50-52-Combi WL Scissor Lift
Wheel Alignment System, equipped with quick grip spacer kits, live ride height measurement capabilities, and VW Group-approved camera kits with integrated switching systems
Truesteel® Workspace Furniture, including custom cupboards, bin units, mobile and static drawer units, integrated lift controls, and high units with monitors, power, and data access
Shared lubrication cabinets for oil, air, and water
Technician wash stations with integrated sink units

Additionally, GEMCO worked closely with S Catterall Ltd for specialised pipework installation and Fumex Ltd for a state-of-the-art five-reel exhaust extraction system.

A Workshop That Redefines Luxury

The newly completed workshop is as visually stunning as it is functional. A video shared on social media showcases the striking interior, with the lighting design giving the impression that “the cars are floating on light.” This sophisticated, high-tech environment reflects Lamborghini’s reputation for luxury and innovation.

A Successful Collaboration

GEMCO UK Limited extended its gratitude to Gerry Gray and Mark Stewart for their leadership in this project, as well as to everyone involved in making this vision a reality. Their contribution ensures that Lamborghini Leeds can continue delivering world-class service to its customers.

GEMCO also acknowledged Park’s Motor Group for their trust and partnership, reaffirming their commitment to providing the best garage equipment solutions for the automotive industry.

As 2025 unfolds, GEMCO remains dedicated to pushing the boundaries of workshop innovation, ensuring that high-performance brands like Lamborghini continue to operate in state-of-the-art environments.
