Autogem has announced the return of its flagship TPMS event, Under Pressure, which will once again invite tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) technicians across the UK to compete in a real-world skills-based challenge.
Now entering its fourth year, Under Pressure ’25 is set to be the most ambitious edition of the competition yet. The grand final is scheduled for 25 June 2025 and will be hosted at the Pirelli Performance Centre in Burton-upon-Trent for the third consecutive year.
The annual event is the only competition of its kind focused entirely on TPMS. It aims to recognise and reward technical excellence and customer service in a field that continues to grow in importance within the aftermarket.
Autogem says the competition reflects its long-term goal to see TPMS recognised as a core category—on par with brakes, tyres, batteries, and other key vehicle systems.
Technicians will take part in a series of qualifying rounds during Spring 2025, where they’ll be tested on their ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of TPMS issues. The contest is divided into three entry categories:▪ Large retailer network
▪ Small retailer
▪ Under-23s
The competition is open exclusively to UK-based tyre technicians who use i-sensor™, Autogem’s TPMS platform used by many of the UK’s largest tyre retailers and specialist workshops.
Managing Director Prashant Chopra described Under Pressure as the cornerstone of Autogem’s TPMS strategy.
“We’re thrilled to confirm that Under Pressure is returning for a fourth successive year,” Chopra said. “We feel that we’ve created something really special with this competition, which all stemmed from an idea we had back in 2020 to create an event that upskills the industry and captures the imaginations of technicians across the UK.
“It is our way of giving something back to the aftermarket... It’s not just about who wins though; it’s about sharing knowledge, collaborating with our customers, and reinforcing the vital role that TPMS plays in the aftermarket.”
Industry guests will be invited to attend the final, whether or not they currently use Autogem’s TPMS platform or have technicians entered into the competition.
Autogem is also in the process of confirming a line-up of premium sponsors for this year’s event, with further details expected to be released in the coming weeks.
