Yokohama Off-Highway Tires has announced a significant upgrade to its Alliance 885 line of agri-transport tires, introducing high-load sizes tailored for the demands of modern agricultural machinery. The new configurations, 850/50R30.5 and 710/40R22.5, are specifically designed for contemporary manure tankers, spreaders, and sprayers.
The 850/50R30.5 Alliance 885 stands out with a 182D load index, boasting the ability to carry a staggering 18,700 pounds (8500 kg) while maintaining speeds of up to 40 mph (65 km/h). This enhancement is attributed to the tire's radial construction, which not only augments its performance but also offers improved roading and a reduction in soil compaction.
A notable feature of the Alliance 885 is its innovative curved-lug tread pattern. This design ensures superior traction when working in the field, coupled with rapid self-cleaning capabilities. Furthermore, its rounded shoulders are meticulously crafted to minimize crop damage and prevent soil ruts, while a dense centerline provides unparalleled stability on roads.
Complementing the 850/50R30.5 size, Yokohama has also rolled out the Alliance 885 flotation radial in the 710/40R22.5 configuration. This tyre comes with a 165D load index and can carry up to 11,400 pounds (5150 kg) at the same top speed of 40 mph (65 km/h). Given its specifications, this new radial size is pegged as the perfect replacement for tires used on a wide range of tankers, carts, and sprayers.
In their statement, Yokohama emphasized their commitment to innovation and meeting the evolving needs of the agricultural sector. These new additions to the Alliance 885 line are a testament to the company's dedication to providing top-tier solutions for modern farming challenges.
