The University of Novi Sad, an eminent educational hub in Serbia, is well-poised to partner with Toyo Tire, given its prestigious Faculty of Technology known for rubber technology expertise. The university's rich history and current status as one of central Europe's educational pillars, boasting a student body of nearly 50,000 and over 5,000 faculty members, make it an ideal ground for pioneering research.

Toyo Tire has established a bold vision: to increase the use of sustainable raw materials in its products to 40% by the end of the decade and reach a groundbreaking 100% by 2050. This collaboration is not merely about hitting environmental targets but also about contributing positively to Serbia's educational policies, as Toyo Tire has a production presence in the country.

The joint research initiatives will focus on two main areas: the development of renewable raw materials, including those sourced from Serbian plant life, and the innovation of recycled materials from waste tires. These endeavors will explore the potential of resources like rice husk ash silica and recycled carbon black, aiming to minimize environmental impact while maintaining product quality and performance.

The research outcomes are expected to bolster Toyo Tire's sustainability efforts on a global scale, reinforcing the company's commitment to the environment and its position as an industry leader in ecological advancements.

This agreement is a testament to Toyo Tire's forward-thinking ethos and progress in the tire industry's journey towards sustainability. With eyes set firmly on the future, Toyo Tire and the University of Novi Sad are gearing up to drive the wheel of innovation towards a greener, more sustainable horizon.
