Last week, a significant event took place that further solidified the partnership between UK distributor BAB Distribution, a part of the Bush Tyres group, and Ascenso Tyres. Key Ascenso dealer partners, North Devon Tyres and Redpath Tyres, were invited to visit Ascenso's impressive factory and new offices in Bharuch and Mumbai, India.
The Ascenso factory, spanning approximately 1k long and 0.5k wide, is a testament to the company's commitment to innovation and quality. With its own on-site power station, the factory is strategically located just outside the city of Bharuch in the region of Gujarat. This massive site is where the magic happens, from the design and testing of new product developments in earthmover, port, and forestry tyres, to the expanding VF tyre range.
One of the highlights of the visit was the mould making section of the plant, a recent addition that opened in 2022. Unlike many manufacturers who outsource the making of tyre moulds to countries like China, Ascenso takes pride in designing and making its own tyre moulds. This not only speeds up their size expansion project but also sets them apart from the competition.
Tom Bush of BA Bush was full of praise for Ascenso's factory, stating, "The levels of growth from last year were incredible, and the factory was truly the most advanced tyre plant I have ever been to." He went on to commend Ascenso's extensive testing and product development, which he believes is among the best in the tyre manufacturing world.
During their visit, the group had the opportunity to meet Ascenso's top brass, including CEO Yogesh Mahansaria, Deputy CEO Dhaval Nanavati, Chief Technology Officer Praveen Soral, and Head of Marketing and Product Management Atul Khandagale, among others. This interaction further highlighted Ascenso's willingness to listen and adapt their tyres based on feedback from dealers and end users.
Ascenso's global presence is rapidly expanding, with their products now sold in over 92 countries and soon reaching 620 product codes across all segments of off-highway tyres. This growth is a testament to the company's commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
