Pirelli Partners with Lamborghini on Specialised Tyres for New Hybrid Urus SE
Pirelli has teamed up with Lamborghini to develop a range of specialised tyres for the new Urus SE, Lamborghini's inaugural plug-in hybrid SUV.
The collaboration has produced bespoke 21-inch, 22-inch, and 23-inch P Zero tyres, alongside a 22-inch Scorpion Winter 2 tyre, each bearing Pirelli’s Elect marking. This designation indicates a technology suite tailored to improve the performance of electrified vehicles.
Developed through a rigorous programme involving high-speed tests at Italy’s Nardò circuit and extreme cold conditions within the Arctic Circle, these tyres are crafted to accommodate the high torque and substantial weight of the Urus SE. Additionally, they aim to minimise road noise and boost battery efficiency by reducing rolling resistance.
