Atlas Copco has expanded its technological offerings by integrating Variable Speed Drive (VSD) technology into its smallest oil-injected screw compressors, marking a significant development in the industry.
The new G 2-7 VSD model, the smallest VSD compressor available on the market, provides substantial benefits to workshop operators. This technology enables the compressor to adjust its motor speed according to varying air demands, enhancing performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
Unlike traditional fixed-speed compressors that operate constantly at full capacity, the VSD model reduces unnecessary energy use and component wear while offering stable pressure and quieter operation. This innovation extends the advantages of VSD compressors, previously available only in larger industrial models, to users of 2-7 kW compressors.
