Enhanced Compatibility for High-Performance Vehicles with New Size Options

Apollo Tyres Ltd has significantly expanded its Vredestein Ultrac Pro ultra-ultra-high-performance (UUHP) summer tyre range, introducing 55 new sizes in 2025, bringing the total available options to 102 sizes ranging from 18 to 24 inches. Designed for hypercars, sports cars, and high-performance saloons and SUVs, this expansion ensures greater market coverage and enhanced vehicle compatibility.

A Rapidly Expanding Performance Tyre Range

Since its launch in 2024, the Ultrac Pro has been available in 45 sizes, covering wheel rims from 18 inches up to 24 inches. The 2025 expansion adds a further 55 sizes, significantly increasing fitment options for both passenger cars and SUVs.

As of February 2025, the Ultrac Pro range includes:

  • 45 existing sizes from 2024, ranging from 215/45 R18 to 355/25 R24.
  • 34 sizes optimised for car and SUV applications.
  • 15 sizes specifically engineered for SUVs.
  • The remaining sizes will be phased in throughout 2025, completing the full 102-size lineup.

Innovative Design and Structural Enhancements

The Ultrac Pro features a striking asymmetrical sidewall design, developed with Italdesign, an iconic Italian engineering firm. Its unique styling, inspired by luxury chronometers, reflects the precision and high-performance capabilities of the tyre.

Beneath the surface, Apollo Tyres has reengineered key structural elements, particularly in the bead and lower sidewall area near the rim. This significantly enhances:

  • High-speed stability
  • Cornering precision
  • Comfort over uneven road surfaces

New-Generation Compound for Peak Performance

The Ultrac Pro incorporates an advanced tread compound, developed using a state-of-the-art smart mixing process. This formula blends high-tech polymers, fillers, and performance resins, ensuring:

  • Exceptional grip in wet and dry conditions
  • Optimised performance across various temperatures
  • Lower rolling resistance, enhancing fuel efficiency and EV suitability

Lighter, Stronger, and EV-Ready

Compared to its predecessor, the Ultrac Vorti+, the Ultrac Pro offers:

  • 13% weight reduction, which improves steering response, acceleration, and braking.
  • Y-speed rating and XL designation across all sizes, ensuring durability and high-performance stability.
  • Improved rolling resistance, making it ideal for electric vehicles (EVs).

Proven Performance in Independent Testing

Before its launch, the Ultrac Pro underwent rigorous testing at Spanish engineering and testing firm Applus+ IDIADA, where it was compared against six leading UUHP rivals:

  • It ranked among the top two tyres in Limit Handling assessments.
  • It outperformed comfort-focused UUHP competitors in overall ride comfort.

Industry Reaction and Future Outlook

Yves Pouliquen, Vice President, Commercial, Europe at Apollo Tyres Ltd, commented on the expansion:

“There has been a very positive response to our flagship performance tyre following its introduction last year, and this move will ensure we are better able to meet fast-growing demand. The Ultrac Pro is already compatible with rims up to 24 inches, and we now cater for many of the most common size requirements across the UUHP category.”

With the full 102-size range set to be available by the end of 2025, Apollo Tyres continues its commitment to delivering high-performance solutions across a diverse range of vehicles.
